My clinical practice is general but with a sub-specialty interest in trauma (fractures and dislocations). My research interests are clinical in nature, mainly research methods, clinical trials and cohort studies and focus on surgical effectiveness.

I apply available knowledge to the management of individual patients in a scientific manner, balancing the potential benefit of any treatment against the risk of harm. I believe that patients should be provided with the best information available to inform their decision making.
